Can I get a driving license as 17 years old?

Yes, you can actually apply as 16 years old and pass the final test when turning 17. The condition is that you would drive under the supervision of the co-driver who:

• has had the Group B driving license for more than 10 years;
• is the given driver - minor’s legally authorised representative;
• has been listed as a co-driver in the register of drivers maintained by a Police Force body.

Just like the driver themselves, the co-driver too is to have the documents and driving license on them and to follow the regulations and principles related to alcohol and other addictive substances applicable for the driver.

How long is the course?

The standard course takes about 12 to 16 weeks, the intensive one about 4 - 6 weeks. How long a course is depends also on you and your free time you will dedicate to driving lessons or on the frequency of instalments if you decide to pay this way.

What are the conditions for starting a course in the driving school?

The training can start as soon as the correctly filled-in and by general practitioner-confirmed application form is submitted. This document shall assess the physical fitness of the driving license applicant. The printed form shall be filled in correctly, signed and stamped by a general practitioner. The stamp shall be legible and shall contain all the required particulars. In case the applicant has not reached 18 years of age, the application for driving license issuance shall be signed by their authorised representative.

What do I need to submit prior to the final test?

It is necessary to pay the administrative fee for the final test in the form of a 33 EUR duty stamp. The course price does not include the fee.
